Can an AI agent send a fax?
Yes: Oh Fax has a remote MCP server at https://app.ohfax.com/mcp and a REST API, so Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Codex and other agents can quote and send a fax to the US or Canada.

The short answer
Add the Oh Fax MCP server to your agent, give it a PDF and a fax number, and it can get a quote and send the fax after you approve the cost. An agent can pay per fax over HTTP 402 with the Machine Payments Protocol (MPP), with no account. For your own software, the REST API uses an API key from a prepaid account.
- Price: $2.00 per fax by card, for a PDF of up to 100 pages and 25 MB. No account and no subscription.
- Where: fax numbers in the US and Canada only.
- Send-only: Oh Fax sends faxes. It cannot receive faxes or give you a fax number.
- Not for patient data: do not use Oh Fax for protected health information (PHI).
- Refund: if the fax cannot be delivered, you get a full refund and the reason.

Can the agent send a fax without asking me?
