How long does an online fax take, and how do I know it went through?
A fax sent with Oh Fax normally arrives within minutes, and the status page shows when it is delivered and gives you a receipt; if it fails, you are told why and refunded.

The short answer
After you pay, the fax is queued and our carrier calls the recipient's machine. Each fax gets a status page at app.ohfax.com/f/ followed by its ID, which shows progress and the final result. Longer documents and busy lines take longer.
- Price: $2.00 per fax by card, for a PDF of up to 100 pages and 25 MB. No account and no subscription.
- Where: fax numbers in the US and Canada only.
- Send-only: Oh Fax sends faxes. It cannot receive faxes or give you a fax number.
- Not for patient data: do not use Oh Fax for protected health information (PHI).
- Refund: if the fax cannot be delivered, you get a full refund and the reason.
How you know it went through
- The status page changes to delivered and gives you an HTML receipt.
- You can add an email address on the send page to get the receipt by email.
- You can look up a fax later by its reference.
- If the line is busy, nobody answers, or the number isn't a fax machine, the page says so and you are refunded in full.
A delivery receipt shows the fax reached the machine. It doesn't show that someone read it, so check with the recipient if it matters.
