Fax the IRS

Prepare and send a PDF to the IRS with Oh Fax, after confirming recipient instructions.

Before sending

Use IRS.gov and the instructions for your specific form or notice. Fax numbers are printed on form instructions or notices. Confirm that your particular submission can be faxed; do not assume there is one general fax number.

Oh Fax sends PDFs to US and Canadian destinations only. Each document must be at most 30 pages and 10 MB. Recipient rules determine whether your document can be submitted by fax.

Steps

  1. Confirm that the IRS accepts this submission by fax and get the number from the official form, notice, agency site, or verified recipient instructions.
  2. Prepare the required documents as a readable PDF, including any requested reference or cover information within the 30-page cap.
  3. Open Oh Fax, upload the PDF, and enter the verified US or Canadian fax number.
  4. Review the destination, page count, and exact quote, then authorize payment only when ready to transmit.
  5. Check delivery status and save the final receipt. Follow the recipient's instructions to confirm acceptance or complete any follow-up.

Price

Card costs $1.00 for up to 25 pages and $0.02 for each extra page. Prepaid balance and MPP stablecoin cost $0.02 per page. Pricing explains each rail.

FAQ

Where do I find the fax number?

Use the recipient's official form, notice, or site, or confirm it directly with the recipient. Do not guess the destination.

Does delivery mean my submission was accepted?

A delivery receipt records the fax outcome. Confirm acceptance and any further requirements with the recipient.
